2D ART

The course focuses on contemporary projects which allow students to develop practical skills in a variety of media in 2D art.

Throughout the year students are encouraged to develop their drawing skills and explore new ways to visualize the world.

Sketchbooks are critical to the research and development process and lead into outcomes for painting and printmaking,

Printmaking is embedded into all Art and Design programmes at Glasgow Clyde College @ Anniesland. Excellent workshop facilities are organised to enable a creative and inventive approach to the production of printmaking. Students learn to print to a professional level in monotype, lino print, etching, colliograph and screenprint.

Tutors adopt a holistic approach to learning and teaching. All staff work hard to create and nurture an environment that is both stimulating and also encourages students to support and learn from each other. Further, the delivery of integrated units allows for greater student individuality of expression and personal interpretation.
